We raise akc shih tzu puppies

We are a husband & wife team.

We raise AKC Shih Tzu puppies in our home, under foot. We do not believe in the unethical practices in breeding, and treat our animals as family.

I have been passionate about animals since my early childhood. My grandmother was renamed Grandma Goats by myself as a tiny tot. I was actively involved in 4H showing livestock from my grandmother's farm at a young age.

The farm life was always bustling and there was always something to do. Waking up at 5 am to do chores and watching the news with my grandma is something I treasure, along with the Wednesday thrift store adventures ending with a dollar tree haul, or a trip to the Red Barn (restaurant) with my Great Grandpa & Great Grandma. Gardening, baking, art, baling hay, trying to sneak & mount an untamed horse, riding bikes in the rain, exploring the woods, foraging for wild mushrooms, collecting eggs, chasing wild turkeys.

One of my fondest memories was assisting in delivery of kids (baby goats), going out to the barn at all hours of the night to check on laboring moms, or sneaking to the barn at night to sleep on the heating mats with the baby goats - reasons I aspired to become a veterinarian.

When my grandmother discovered Shih Tzu’s, goats became a thing of the past. That was over 20 years ago and she has devoted her life into better understanding the breed and falling more in love with them every day. You can check out her website at shihtzufarm.com

Our shih tzu’s are raised around our children who are very involved in their care. Socialization to our puppies occurs daily as they are raised with a pit bull “Grandmother” named Zoey, and treat her like a second mommy.
